Action Log

1st update (May 13th, 2014) -

In this first part, I've devoted myself more to the layout of the blog. Set my preferences and I started a diary where you write do not necessarily every day, but when I do something and want to share with everyone, like the songs, movies and tv series.

I felt a hard time watching TV series without the caption, so I decided to go with more calm, starting to use the English subtitles before seeing without the subtitles. I started listening to music and trying to identify on what she says before reading the lyrics. I am very excited about the portfolio and I intend to devote myself more to it in this second stage that is to come. To help me in learning process, decided to use not only Facebook, but all my social networks in English, aimed at learning the language.

2nd update (May 27th, 2014) -

I believe that in this last week, I learned a lot more about the Unit 7 the book than watching series and movies. Understand when using was and were, memorized a few irregular verbs in simple past and learned the ordinals numbers. I did some exercises that made available here on the blog to help. I went to the cinema in a Juíz de Fora, had difficulty in following the legend for being too close and ended up having to make an extra effort to understand. I saw some TV series, but I haven't tried using the caption in English.

I presented the work at last class LET 111, talking about electric guitars. I was a little nervous and and spoke a few words wrong.

I need practice!!!

3st update (June 10th, 2014) -

In the last lesson, we learn how to play, in English, a game that I love: Naval Battle. 
I won two times my friend Rachel (kisses, paw!)

I find it interesting that the teacher proposal back to the classroom. Interaction with peers is great for us, as wellas help each other, enrich our vocabulary.

Since the last action log did not watch any TV show or movie that was relevant to mention. Only identified some flaws in the subtitles, which currently is common.
I'll keep watching and next action log I tell you!


Last update (June 24th, 2014) -

The latest classes were very interesting. We played agame called "face to face" where we talk about the features of a person and tried to guess the characterchosen by our friend. For a change, I won!

We also had the class that the teacher took yogurt and biscuits and taught us how to ask other people if they are served. This time I went to volunteer (for cookies).

That's when I remembered that I haven't told you the visit Krystal at a school last month.

She came from the USA and are in viçosa to assist teachers of English. She gave a lecture to us and was very friendly with the class.
